Trails Closed to Horses
All single-track trails in Sam McDonald Park are now closed to horses for winter. Fire roads will be open to horses as weather allows.
Fuel Management Work on Ridge Fire Road
Work continues on a project to enhance public safety by maintaining already existing fuel breaks and shaded fuel breaks along a 4.3-mile network of fire roads in Sam McDonald Park. Ridge Fire Road remains closed weekdays only from 8:00am to 4:00pm until further notice. The trails will be open on Saturdays and Sundays. Work on Ridge Fire Road will continue as long as weather permits.
