The Live Oak Nature Trail parallels the El Zanjon Creek which run year around. Plant identification is made easy, do to the lush riparian creek side environment. Plants that you can expect to see are California poppy, miner’s lettuce, horsetail, blue-eyed grass, and Douglas iris. The entire length of the trail is shaded by large Coast Live Oak and Arroyo Willow trees.
