Campgrounds at Memorial Park Closed Nov. 21 - 24

The campgrounds at Memorial County Park are closed Thursday, Nov. 21 through Sunday, Nov. 24 due to the current forecast of high winds and heavy rain that could cause flooding.  All camping reservations are canceled for this period.  

Visiting the Park During & After Heavy Rain

To stay safe and protect the environment, here are some tips about visiting parks during or after rain.

First Phase of Flood Park Renovations Continue, Reopening Now Expected Mid-December

Flood Park, including the pump track, is now expected to remain closed until mid-December while the first phase of the renovations is completed. When the park partially reopens, visitors will have access to the pump track, small multi-use sports field, and sports courts.

Bicycle Sunday Canceled on Holiday Weekends

Bicycle Sunday, the weekly event that allows for non-motorized use of Cañada Road along Crystal Springs Regional Trail, will be canceled during holiday weekends to meet increased staffing needs at other parks in the area.

Coyote Point Recreation Area Closures

Ongoing closures at Coyote Point Recreation Area include the Beach Center, trails, and a restroom in the Eucalyptus area of the park.

San Bruno Mountain Park Closures

Intermittent Trail Closures on Ridge & Bog Trail through Dec 1. Brief Delays on Trail Near Main Parking Lot Until Dec 1.

Crystal Springs Regional Trail Closures

The northern portion of the Sawyer Camp segment will be closed through December 2024.

Flood Park Closed Nov. 4 – 22

Beginning Monday, Nov. 4 through Friday, Nov. 22, all of Flood Park, including the pump track, will be closed. When the park reopens Saturday, Nov. 23 visitors will have access to new facilities.

Junipero Serra Park Closures

See trail and area closures including Big Slides in the Meadow View playground.

Huddart Park Closures

Toyon Campground is closed and without water.

Sam McDonald Park Trail Closures

Work continues on a project to enhance public safety by maintaining already existing fuel breaks and shaded fuel breaks along a 4.3-mile network of fire roads in Sam McDonald Park. Trails in the work area will be closed on weekdays.

Completion of New Flood Park Facilities Nears; Saturday Work Continues

To finish construction of the multi-use sports field and sports courts, crews are scheduled to continue work on Saturdays, Oct 19 through Nov 16. On Nov 4 –22, the entire park will be closed, including the pump track.
